"It is full steam ahead here at BC Event Management (BCEM) for myself and the entire team" says David. "We were thrilled with our involvement in the Games and the accolades that followed". David and his growing team have been kept busy with proposals, creating new event designs and dealing with the elevated worldwide focus on Vancouver and the request for services that have followed. 2010 WINTER GAMES (January 2010)
BC Event Management is ecstatic about the two large scale Olympic projects we are executing during the 2010 Olympic Games here in Vancouver, the Saskatchewan Pavilion and the Quebec House (Maison Du Quebec).
Located in between BC Place Stadium and Science World in Vancouver, the Saskatchewan Pavilion will consist of two structures. A six story high stratosphere with 360 degree projections and a 115 foot clear span building. One will house a business centre, the other an entertainment venue featuring Saskatchewan entertainment and food. Through these venues, people from Canada, and around the world, will be able to learn about Saskatchewan business opportunities, vacation destinations, immigration and quality of life. Please click here for a map to the pavilion. For more information, click here to view a video.
Located at the Concord Pacific site between Sochi House (Science World) and BC Place in Vancouver, the Quebec House is expected to become a centre piece of Quebec culture and food over the course of the Games. The fact it is situated next to Hockey House and the Ontario Pavilion will also help to make it a premiere destination. The Pavilion is a sixty foot super structure built around an existing building. The Pavilion will feature impressive video projections, lighting effects and entertainment throughout the games. To see what the construction phases will look like, please click here. |
